Calochortus monophyllus, a perennial herb known by the common names Yellow Star-Tulip, Yellow-Star Mariposa Lily, Cat Ears and Yellow pussy ears, is a species of flowering plant in the lily family. It is native to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and southernmost Cascades in California. Each flower has three pointed sepals and three more rounded petals, all rich yellow with a soft, dense beard of fine yellow hairs.
The Yellow Star Tulip flower essence works with issues of sensitivity. It helps us to feel what others are feeling, and to sensitize ourselves to our environment, thus developing qualities of empathy and understanding.

It is such an unusual flower, I love the delicate texture of the petals. They look like feathers. Beautiful work Christine and a nice colour contrast as well
